If you are a Realtor, you’ve probably heard plenty about how AI is going to change real estate. I think there is a more useful question to ask. Can AI make your workday a little easier?
For most agents, the real opportunity is not replacing what you do. It is reducing the time you spend on repetitive tasks so you have more time for the work that actually requires you.
AI can help create a first draft of a listing description, brainstorm social media topics, organize ideas for a neighborhood guide, draft client follow-ups, turn common buyer questions into video ideas, or simplify complicated information into something easier to explain.
The key words are first draft.
AI does not know your clients like you do. It has not walked the neighborhood, sat across from a nervous first-time buyer, negotiated through a difficult inspection, or learned which details matter in your local market.
That’s where you come in.
Think of AI like an assistant sitting beside you with a blank notebook. It can help organize your thoughts and get something started. You still provide the experience, judgment, personality, and local knowledge that make it valuable.
A good place to start is simple. Pick one repetitive task you handle every week and see if AI can help you complete the first 80 percent faster. Then make the final 20 percent unmistakably yours.
The Realtors who benefit most from AI will not be the ones who automate every interaction. They will be the ones who use technology to create more time for relationships.
Technology should support relationships, not replace them.
